Meg O'Kell - Who I Am: Decoded

Context: Meg wrote this sog in reflection of her experience she's had while in argument with her friends. The song is quite slow and melancholic, signifying her isolation and the repercussions of it.

The song starts with her not knowing what went wrong which clearly confuses her and leads her to writing this song.

In the Chorus we find out more about the current situation she's in - her friends are having fun without her and she feels isolated, alone and forgotten.

In the second verse Meg is trying to understand their perspective by apologising and recuringly stating they must not be aware of the pain which is brought upon someone when people they care about forget about them.

Overall, the song represents the frustration with ones life when they're left on their own without a proper reason.
