Moodboard
We're going to give a lot of thought into the costume part of the music video because the indie genre usually concentrates on the music and so the costumes are often made to look casual and not too outstanding.
Our indie music video will include both performance and narrative and we thought it would be a good idea to merge those two ideas and present them in our moodboard by a way of having Meg and location pictures together.
The lyrics of the song indicate she feels isolated which we are going to try and establish through the use of depth of field and focus which is going to make Meg appear surrounder by people but still signify the feeling of loneliness.
When conducting the audience research, we included an option for naturalistic location which actually came first in people's choices for their favourite location for an indie music video. In the moodboard, we contrasted the idea between the woods and studio which constructs a sort of naturalistic experience while keeping it professional. I really enjoy that idea and hopefully we'll get to make it happen.
We mention in the little introcudtory description of the moodboard that the song is quite nostalgic and melancholic. The way we're going to try and make the video not only compliment but also accentuate that.
