Rough Trade Records
Indie recod label, based in London, found by Geoff Travis.
RTR: the music label has been active since 1978 and was started in London as a record selling store. After being found successful, Travis started managing acts and soon started his own label. The company experienced bankrupcy in the late 80s but Travis saved the scene in the early 1990s by finding success with The Strokes, The Libertines and Antony & The Johnsons. Rough Trade is now considered to represent artist of various genres although it started as an independent indie record label.
