The artist is eighteen years old currently in education. She has been uploading her covers as well as original songs to her youtube channel, Meg OKell. We came across Meg when we were thinking about any local artists that we knew and could use their song for our music video promotion. Elle was able to contact her and not only did we get a permission to use Who I Am for our video, but also have Meg in the video itself.

 

Meg's musical career is still quite underground which puts us at an advantage because there's no grand brand identity to follow yet as well as we get to decide upon it when planning and constructing the video. Not to mention the lack of competition we would face because no one else has ever made a music video for this song before.

 

What we plan to do is to focus on the genre of Meg's music (indie, indie folk etc) and start from there. Since Meg is also a big fan of Ellie Goulding (her Ellie covers can be found on her YouTube channel), we'll draw inspiration from Goulding's brand identity as well as other indie artists'.
